What is known
According to scattered accounts, Mundstuck formed in Piła around late 1983. The city was not a cultural center, which may explain why almost nothing about the group was preserved.
The band reportedly played several semi-private concerts in basements, storage spaces and rehearsal rooms. Their sound is described as raw, minimal, and unusually tense.
“They played like they expected the power to be cut at any moment.”
Members (partially confirmed)
- Marek Krawiec, known as Suchy — vocals, lyrics
- Tomasz Birek — guitar
- Anka Różańska — bass
- “Kocioł” — drums
- Janusz L. — session instrument (accordion?)
The exact lineup is uncertain. Some sources mention only four members. Others recall an additional musician who did not appear consistently.
The lost demo
In 1984 the band allegedly recorded a demo tape titled “Miasto bez ust” (“The City Without a Mouth”).
No complete copy has been verified. The tape circulated informally, often copied and partially degraded.
Why people still look for them
- No confirmed recordings
- No verified photographs
- Only fragmentary lyrics survive
