Does anyone here remember a band called Mundstuck?
Someone mentioned them in Piła. Supposedly early 80s, no records survived.

Tak, coś było. Mój wujek mówił o nich.
Grali gdzieś w piwnicy, chyba niedaleko warsztatów kolejowych.
Ale nikt tego nie traktował poważnie wtedy.

I heard a fragment once. Not sure if it was really them.
Sound was very flat, like recorded on a cheap cassette.
Bass was surprisingly clear though.

I think my older brother had a tape in the 90s.
But it was already copied many times.
Half of it was just noise.

Trudno powiedzieć.
Starsi ludzie pamiętają nazwę, ale szczegóły się nie zgadzają.

I’m not sure why you assume the name is wrong.
There was a group, yes. They played near the railway workshops.
Not officially. People came and left quickly.
I remember one thing clearly — they did not repeat songs the same way twice.
Also, the bass was louder than everything else. That is unusual.
You are all looking for a recording, but I doubt it will help.
They did not sound on tape the way they sounded in that room.

I’m not sure about that.
If they really played multiple times, someone would have recorded something usable.
Even low-quality tapes from that period usually survive in some form.
Also, the idea that “they sounded different in the room” — that’s something people often say later.
Memory tends to exaggerate.
I think what we have here is a mix of at least two different local bands that got merged into one story.

If something ever surfaces, it will probably be incomplete.
These things usually are.
